Also known as (respectively), “the littlest detour” and the “day to chill” bike rides.
The first trip (Saturday) was a regular trip up the COLT and BLT trail (that’s Chain of Lakes Trail and Beachville-Lakeside-Timberlea trail). Went as far as the Bluff Trails trail-head, well, out in front of Cranberry Lake, before my return.
Stats, were 36.7 km traveled, at 19.7 km/h.
Sundays trip was the Heartland Tour redux. Went down Purcell’s Cove road and back up Herring Cove road, passing through Spryfield. Finished off in West End, then Downtown Halifax, to experience the new roundabout at a different angle.
This one was 34.1 km traveled, at a rate of 20.4 km/h.
